Humber Archives Portraits.

During my final semester at Humber College, I had the opportunity to create a series of illustrated portraits for the Humber Archives. In total, we created 7 portraits featuring historically significant members to honour their contributions to Humber over the years.

These portraits were created using Adobe Illustrator. Colour palettes were selected to correspond with the subjects portrayed in the illustrations, (for example the green and yellow in Wayson Choy’s portrait was chosen to reference the cover of his book The Jade Peony).

In addition to the series of posters, the portraits were adapted into postcards.

Currently, this series of portraits (titled ‘Movers, Shakers, and Changemakers‘) is on display on Humber’s North campus on the 3rd floor of the LRC building. As of January, 2025.

From left to right, Anne Zbitnew, Doris Tallon, Ed Janiszewski, Ruth Grier, Squee (Robert A. Gordon), Tony Huggins, and Wayson Choy.
